From choosing a project to the receipt: the steps on the website and in the app, and when a donation counts as complete.
On the website (no app needed)
- Open the project page and press Donate now — no app needed.
- Choose the Currency and the Amount from the suggested amounts, or Other amount.
- On the website the type is One time; monthly giving is in the app.
- Choose the Payment method.
- Enter a phone number or email (either is enough) so we can send your receipt, and your name if you like. Tick "Show my name in the donors list" if you wish.
- Press Continue to payment; you go to the payment gateway's page and pay there directly.
In the app
On the project page press Donate, then the amount, the type (one-time or monthly) and the payment method. You can donate as a guest with your phone or email, or sign in to keep the donation in your history and impact.
After paying
- The Donation status page shows "Confirming your payment…" until the gateway confirms, then "Donation completed" with View receipt.
- A donation is complete only when the payment gateway confirms it, not just because you returned from its page. Confirmation can take a few minutes.
- If the payment did not go through or you cancelled, nothing is charged and you can try again.
Where your donation goes
A completed donation is allocated to the project's trees at the approved tree cost, and you can follow their planting and photos on the project page and in the app.
