How do I report tree cutting?
The "Report tree cutting" form (photos, location, when you saw it, description), the report number and tracking code, the report's statuses, and what stays private.
Saw trees being cut? Open the Report tree cutting card on the home page (on the website or in the app). You do not need an account, and do not put yourself at risk to take a photo.
The form
- Photos: one to five photos (JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB each). Their embedded location data is removed as soon as they are uploaded.
- Location, in one of three ways:
- A pin on the map: tap where the cutting is on the map, or type the latitude and longitude.
- My current location: press Use my location while you are there (the browser or the app asks your permission).
- The photo's location: if your photo carries the camera's coordinates we suggest them, and use them only if you choose to.
- A nearby landmark or address, optional, such as "near Al-Hurriya bridge".
- When did you see it?: now by default; you can change it.
- Description (required, 10 to 2,000 characters): what did you see? Roughly how many trees? Is the cutting still going on?
- Your name and phone number are optional: they are used only so the foundation's staff can contact you about the report; we do not verify them or send them messages.
- Consent to the report being handled as described in the privacy policy.
On the website you may be asked to confirm that you are not an automated program. There is a daily limit on reports from the same device, address and account.
Report number and tracking code
After sending, the report number (such as RPT-2026-000123) and the tracking code are shown once only. Keep them, or keep the tracking link. Under Following up a report? enter them to see the report's status only. If you are signed in, your reports are also in My reports.
In the app, if there is no internet the report is kept on the device and sent automatically when the connection returns; its number then appears in My reports.
The report's statuses
- New: the report arrived and has not been reviewed yet.
- Under review: the foundation's staff are checking it.
- Forwarded to the authorities: the foundation passed it on to the responsible body (such as the agriculture or environment directorate).
- Closed: follow-up has ended, with the reason (verified, false report, duplicate, resolved, or other).
What stays private
A report is never published: the tracking page shows no photos, location, name or phone. Only the foundation's staff allowed to manage reports see it; your phone is masked for them and every full view is logged. See the privacy policy.
