What does a tree's cost cover?

Planting, watering and a full year of care, who sets and approves it, and how your number of trees is computed.

The tree cost of each project covers planting, watering and a full year of care, set by the foundation per species and location.

Who approves it

The cost is written as a draft and approved by the foundation's finance manager, not by whoever wrote it. Any later change is a new version, and your donation keeps the cost it was allocated with.

How many trees does my donation cover?

The donation screen shows the approved cost per tree and how many trees your amount covers. Your trees in the impact passport come from the actual allocations of your donations at each project's tree cost, not from dividing the amount.

Before planting

If your donation comes before the planting season, your trees stay "awaiting planting" and are linked to real trees as they are recorded in the field, and you are notified when they are planted.
